OneDome Ltd – Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, Bloomsbury, London, WC1H 9BB
1. These terms and conditions are the Competition Rules (“Rules“) and apply to the CMME – (“Win £500 when you complete with us – April 2024) competition (“Competition“). By entering the Competition, entrants agree to be bound by these Rules. The Competition is promoted by the OneDome Ltd (“OneDome”) but managed and operated on its behalf by CMME Mortgages and Protection Ltd (“CMME”) (a wholly owned subsidiary of OneDome Finance Ltd and part of the OneDome group of companies),
2. OneDome reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition or the Rules without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside OneDome’s reasonable control. Any changes will be posted within these terms and conditions. A copy of the Rules may also be obtained by contacting OneDome on support@onedome.com
3. In the event of any dispute regarding the Rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to a Competition, the decision of the judge(s) shall be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
Qualifying Entrants
4. To qualify to enter the Competition (and thereby become an “Entrant”) you must meet one of the following criteria – each a (“Qualifying Route”):
(a) complete a mortgage or protection transaction through CMME; or
(b) Payment for financial advice through CMME Wealth.
The contact details that you provide on being entered to the Competition (“Entry“) may be used to contact you in relation to a receipt of a prize, so please make sure this is correct.
5. Neither employees of OneDome, CMME or companies forming part of the OneDome group of companies and their immediate families nor persons connected with the Competition and their immediate families are eligible to enter the Competition.
6. Persons entering the Competition must be (and you warrant that you are) 18 years or over at the time of Entry.
7. OneDome reserves the right to disqualify any entrant where if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the Rules.
8. The Competition will commence from 01/04/2024, and will run between the first and last day of every month until 31/12/2024. So, for example, entries in April (see section 9 for entry requirements) will be accumulated between 01/04/2024 and 30/04/2024. Entries after this will be considered part of the May 2024 intake, for entries between 01/05/2024 and 31/05/2024.
Competition Entries
9. Multiple entries per Entrant are permitted. Dependent on the Qualifying Route by which the Entrant enters the Competition, they will receive a specified number of entries – as follows:
(a) completion of a mortgage transaction – 1 entry
(b) completion of a protection transaction – 1 entry
(c) payment for financial advice through CMME Wealth – 1 entry
Entries earned are separate but cumulative. Therefore an entrant who, for example, completes 5 buy-to-let mortgages with us in one sitting, would be eligible for 5 entries into the competition. Alternatively, someone who completes a single mortgage transaction with us, then completes a transaction for income protection, would then earn 2 entries.
10. Each entry earned via a Qualifying Route provides 1 equal opportunity to win the Competition. Therefore (taking the first example above) an Entrant with 5 entries would have 5 individual entries placed into the prize draw.
11. Entrants must have access to the internet and a phone – there is no postal route available. Competition entries may only be made through the submission of an Entrant’s details on the Competition website.
12. All entries must be in person. If it becomes apparent that a participant is using any automated means to generate multiple entries, that person/those entries will be disqualified, and any prize award will be void.
Prize and Prize Winner
13. The prize winner will be the Entrant who, in accordance with the rules, meets the following criteria (“Winning Criteria”):
(a) is a valid Entrant with one or more valid Entries obtained through a Qualifying Route; and
(b) in the sole but reasonable view of OneDome is not in breach of any of the Rules of the
Competition; and
(c) is selected at random as the prize winner in accordance with the Rules.
14. Where all the Winning Criteria (a – d) have not been met, an Entrant is not eligible to win the Competition and claim the prize. Where an Entrant has been selected to be the prize winner through the random draw but is subsequently found to have not met the Winning Criteria in full, the result of the draw shall be void and a new winner shall be drawn.
15. There is a single prize, for the winner – comprising of £500 (GBP). (“Prize”).
16. The Prize has no alternative equivalent and is non-transferable.
17. The Prize will be transferred to the winner through electronic bank transfer to an account of the winner’s choice.
18. The winner will be picked using the website ‘Random.org’ or an equivalent independent website.
19. The selection of the random winner will be overseen by a judge independent from the OneDome group of companies. In all matters, the decision of the judge(s) shall be final, and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.
20. Prize winners will be notified via any reasonable means that OneDome in its sole discretion elects to employ. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable or a failure to reply to claim the prize within 14 working days of notification may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
21. Confirmation of the awarding of the Prize along with the Competition winner’s name and relevant personal details may be published on OneDome’s promotional material in respect of the Competition and on any OneDome group company website – unless the winner specifically declines for their details to be published or requests that the information provided is limited. Notwithstanding the preference of the winner in this respect, OneDome will provide the winner’s full details to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
22. The Prize is awarded at the sole discretion of OneDome and no prize will be awarded further to improper actions by or on behalf of any Entrant.
23. The winner will be identified and contacted within 7 working days of the close of the competition. The Prize will be forwarded to the winner within 5 working days of contact subject to OneDome first verifying the eligibility of the winner and the amount of the prize to be awarded.
Intellectual Property Rights & Use of Entries
24. In consideration of OneDome (or its subsidiaries) processing Entrants into to the Competition, each Entrant hereby agrees that OneDome may make any and all entries available in its publications and on its website and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future. You now grant OneDome a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence (for the full period of any rights in the Entry) to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, make derivative works from, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the Entry for such purposes.
25. The Entry and any information submitted by you in respect of, or pertaining to, an Entrant must be personal to and relate specifically to that Entrant. You hereby warrant that your Entry and all information which you submit and/or distribute will not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or any other rights of any third party, and will not contain anything which is libellous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, harassing or threatening. If relevant, OneDome reserves the right, but not the obligation, to screen, filter and/or monitor information provided by you and to edit, refuse to distribute or remove the same.
Liability
26. Neither OneDome nor companies within the OneDome group of companies accepts any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any Entrant entering the Competition or as a result of accepting the Prize. Neither OneDome nor companies within the OneDome group of companies are responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment or software, failure of any email, web form or Entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an Entrant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation in the Competition. Nothing in these Rules shall exclude OneDome’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence.
Data Protection and Publicity
27. The Entrant that wins the Competition may be requested to take part in promotional activity and OneDome reserves the right to use the names and relevant personal details of the winning entrant in any publicity both in paper and online – subject to Rule 23 of these Rules.
28. Any personal data relating to Entrants will not be disclosed to a third party outside of the OneDome group of companies without the individual’s consent. Please see the OneDome Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for further details. Data relating to Entrants will be retained by OneDome and or CMME for a reasonable period after the Competition closes to assist OneDome and or CMME to operate competitions in a consistent manner and to deal with any queries on the Competition – as well as for any other lawful basis allowing for the processing of such data.
29. Where an Entrant has consented to receive marketing communications from OneDome or a company forming part of the OneDome group of companies, they may opt-out at any time by communicating their change in preference.
Jurisdiction
30. The Competition and Rules will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
